No-scalpel vasectomy in Tijuana and vasectomy reversal
Vasectomy is permanent birth control for men: local anesthesia, a few minutes, no hospital stay. And if your plans have changed, microsurgical reversal reconnects the ducts.

No-scalpel vasectomy and reversal: what it involves
In a no-scalpel vasectomy the vas deferens—the tubes that carry sperm from each testicle—are reached through a tiny opening in the scrotal skin, then cut and sealed. It does not change erections, desire or ejaculation: semen is still produced, just without sperm.
Vasectomy reversal is microsurgery that rejoins each duct so sperm return to the semen. Results depend, among other things, on the time since the vasectomy and on the partner’s age and fertility, which is why both are assessed before deciding.
When is it recommended?
- Men who do not want more children
- Couples looking for a safe, permanent method
- Reversal: men with a vasectomy who wish to father children again
- Reversal: selected cases of chronic post-vasectomy pain
The indication is confirmed at your evaluation.
How the procedure goes
Consultation
We confirm the decision is informed and final, and answer questions. No hospital stay is needed.
Local anesthesia
The scrotal skin is numbed. You feel a brief pinch, then only pressure.
Procedure
It takes 15 to 30 minutes. The opening is so small it usually needs no stitches.
Semen analysis
At three months, or after the advised number of ejaculations, a semen test confirms there are no sperm.
Recovery and aftercare
Rest and ice for the first 48 hours, snug underwear and a common pain reliever. Most men are back at desk work in two or three days. Important: vasectomy does not protect right away; use another method until the semen analysis confirms it.
You will receive written instructions and a phone number for questions.
Before you decide
Does vasectomy affect erections or desire?
No. The testicles keep making testosterone as before, and erections, orgasm and semen volume are essentially unchanged.
When can I stop using other birth control?
Once a semen analysis confirms there are no sperm, generally from three months on. Until then pregnancy is still possible.
Does a reversal guarantee pregnancy?
No. It returns sperm to the semen in a good share of cases, but pregnancy also depends on the time since the vasectomy and the partner’s fertility. A vasectomy should be considered permanent.
